About Me

My Photo
I am a mostly SAHM who is also a nursery/NICU nurse. I got into stamping about 9-10 years ago to pass the time. I have 2 kids (9 and 8) that are both in school full time and a wonderful husband of 13 years. We also have 3 Maine Coon cats that are part of our family. I really enjoy making cards and love learning new techniques. I am hoping to get more cards made now that my room is organized. Now if I could only find where I put everything...

Stampin Bella's Love Fest 2013 Challenge Bring on the Bling

I just LOVE the Stampin Bella Uptown Girls collection.  Here is Lucille that I made for Valentine's Day. I have several Uptown Girls in my craft room just waiting to get colored up.  I have the new Audrey that I seriously need to get working on.  She is so sophisticated.

Here is another Uptown Girl named Posh.  I made this one for my crafting bestie Rachel for her birthday this past January.

All of my cards are on Copic XPress It paper and stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I whip out my favorite Copic Markers and get coloring.  I really struggle with layouts so it is usually hit or miss on how I layout a card.  I really need to just follow other layouts that I see.  Oh well...I better get back into my craft room and play.  Happy Crafting.

February Challenges SOG and Oozak

February where did you come from? It's that time again to try my hand at a few challenges. I created this Some Odd Girl "Love me not Mae" for the SOG February Challenge and for the Anything Goes with Favorite Color Combo Oozak challenge. I stamped her with Momento Tuxedo Black ink, colored her with my trusty Copic Markers and used "With Love" 6x6 paper pad from American Crafts.  I think I got it from Target.  I am hoping to get a few Valentine cards posted soon too, but I guess I better get to finishing them first. :) Happy Crafting.

SOG January Challenge 2013

Wow! It's almost the end of January already. Where did the time go? I have had so many birthday cards to make from the end of December to January that I have not blogged them yet. So be looking for them in the very near future. But today I wanted to get my Some Odd Girl January 2013 challenge posted. The inspiration design is above and my take on it is below.  I used Baker Mae and the paper pad is from American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray paper pad. I think I bought it at Target.  She is colored with Copic's of coarse and she also has a few liquid pearls on her cupcake. Until later.  Happy Crafting.

A Little Christmas Cheer

Good morning.  I just wanted to update my blog with a few cards I made back in November.
Where did the time go? Between shopping, baking and holiday things at school, time just slipped by. This in one of my new favorite Christmas themed Kraftin Kimmie's.  Her name is Madeline. I will try to post a few more that I made tomorrow, until then I better get back to wrapping and baking.
 Happy Crafting.

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge 156 Feelin' Festive

Here is my take on the Kraftin Kimmie Feelin' Festive Challenge 156. I made this card for my mom to give to a friend for the holidays.  I got my Christmas present early from her this year.  It was several of the Moonlight Whispers stamps from Kraftin Kimmie. I got them early with the stipulation that I had to make her several cards with them first. Well...one down and a few more to go I guess you could say.  I am planning on crafting all weekend to get her cards made and then maybe make a few for myself to give away at Christmas time. The stamp I decided to start with is Grace.  She is so festive baking her gingerbread men. American Crafts "Merry Mint" paper was used along with SU gumball green ribbon, spellbinders dies and SU border punch. I better get back to my card making before the kids get up. Happy crafting friends.

Halloween is coming....

Cheeky Kitty from the Greeting Farm is one of my favorite digi's they have. Last year I made her into Poison Ivy from Batman.  Sadly I guess I had a little orange ink on my hand and it ended up on her face but I could not trash her. Just think of it as part of her costume.
Speaking of Something Wicked This Way Comes...have you ever seen that movie?  It scared the crap out of me as a kid.  It was made by Disney back in 1983. The thing I remember most was the scary carnival and it's creepy carousel.  It was evidently one of Ray Bradbury's masterminds.  No wonder I was scared.  I actually own a copy of it because I wanted to watch it again as an adult and see if it really was as scary as I thought. I should probably watch it in the daylight when the kids are at school...

Thank you very much to help support this terrible disease.
